Born and raised in Fortaleza, Ceará, Rayane Fortes is a singer, songwriter, and guitarist who has taken Brazil by storm with her talent on guitar, amazing vocals, and commanding stage presence – and now that she’s joined the Laney family of artists, she has even greater guitar tone. Rayan shot to national fame after turning all four chairs on The Voice Brasil and going viral with the most-watched performance of the season, racking up over 7 million views and earning praise from none other than Madonna’s manager, Guy Oseary.
Rayane is fast becoming one of the biggest emerging names in Brazilian music. Add to that her growing global fanbase including 169,000+ Instagram followers and viral content across YouTube and TikTok, and it’s clear: Rayane is just getting started and we’re so happy to have her as part of the Laney family of artists.
So we spoke to her about what it means to be part of the Laney family, the gear she uses and why she chose Laney.

Rayane’s guitar rig is all about feel, clarity and stage-ready versatility and it’s all powered by Laney.
She uses:
This is the perfect setup you need as a guitarist. Especially a live touring guitarist as you can use the Laney Lionheart L20T-212 Combo Amp alongside the Laney LT212 2×12 Cabinet when you want to feel the air move around you, or record with a fully fledged tube amp. In addition, Rayane can switch to a more portable option with the Laney Black Country Customs LIONHEART LOUDPEDAL which is one of the best pedalboard amps that can go direct to the PA and become a flyrig or ampless guitar rig, or can be connected to the Laney LT212 2×12 Cabinet, which slims down the rig as you don’t need an amplifier head! The LOUDPEDAL IS and amplifier!
These are all part of the iconic Laney Lionheart range of guitar amps and cabs, designed, engineered and built in Great Britain to deliver expressive, open, tube-driven tone.
“In my last gig at Bourbon Street, which is an amazing jazz and blues venue here in Brazil, I used all Laney equipment and that brought back to me how much the pure guitar sound is, going through this analogue equipment, is amazing!”
Rayane Fortes uses the Laney L20T-212 as it gives her all-tube Class A power, loaded with a Celestion G12H 70th Anniversary and Vintage 30 for a dual-voicing setup that’s perfect for both studio and stage.
Her LT212 cabinet adds depth, low-end warmth, and beautiful top-end clarity from its open-back construction and premium Celestion drivers making it the perfect pairing for the Lionheart combo and LOUDPEDAL setups.
When she’s travelling light, Rayane uses the Laney LIONHEART LOUDPEDAL which is a full Lionheart amp in pedal form complete with two channels, studio-grade IR output, and on-board cabinet emulations.

Laney amps are all about touch, tone and clarity. Rayane found a sound that speaks to her as both a guitarist and a vocalist.
“The sound is versatile, bright, pure. And like, not as digitalised as we are used to playing with nowadays, so it is a new experience to me. It’s been amazing.”
Whether she’s performing live, recording content for her audience, or writing at home, her Laney rig gives her the dynamic response and wide tonal range she needs as she blends a mulyidude of genres, from soul, to blues to jazz with gear that works just as well on a world-class stage as it does in a small club or studio.
We asked Rayane what it means to join the Laney family:
“Well, being part of the Laney team, it’s a dream come true, because it’s a huge responsibility. It’s being part of a history that’s still being written. I represent another generation. My generation! And I’m influencing not only men but women also!
So this is very important to me. It’s really nice to be part of this family.”
Rayane is one of the most important new voices in Brazilian music, and we couldn’t be prouder to support her tone, her message, and her artistry.
Rayane’s next chapter begins with a brand new single, “The Music of the End,” in collaboration with Brazilian star Roberta Campos. The track is due out September 17, 2025, and is already available to pre-save via the link in Rayane’s Instagram bio.
It’s a powerful collaboration and marks another major step in Rayane’s journey from viral sensation to breakout recording artist.
We’re so happy to have such an incredible guitarist such as Rayane as part of the Laney family using a selection of our Laney Lionheart amplifiers. With Laney Lionheart range, she’s found her perfect tone, which is great, because she’s as tone-obsessed as we are here!
