The DB-EAST-PRE is our latest member of the Laney DIGBETH Bass amplifier series.
Our Black Country Customs team has evolved and refined the sound expanding on the beloved FET and TUBE channels, adding more articulation and control.
The DB-EAST-PRE enhanced tube channel now features selectable gain characteristics. Giving the player 3 different gain options to choose from. Ranging from (i) Mild gain with light asymmetric clipping, to (II) with more asymmetrical clipping available and finally (III) a more aggressive distortion generating more pronounced odd harmonics, giving it a more aggressive modern sound.

The RANGE control works in conjunction with the GAIN setting and allows you to dial in the level of low-end signal pre distortion, which determines how punchy or extended the low-end response is.
The DB-EAST-PRE features a powerful EQ section with selectable mid PRE-SHAPES, and the mighty TILT function allows you to dial in the exact tone you are looking for at any volume
Quickly control the main output level precisely with the Master Volume control whilst the D.I and FX Loop is not affected.
The DB-EAST-PRE features dual inputs allowing you to connect multiple basses to the unit and switch between them via the input selector switch. Input 2 has an individual trim control which allows you to balance the inputs of different basses plugged into the DB-EAST-PRE as required.
The DB-EAST-PRE features LA·IR equipped DI output, which comes pre-loaded with Nathan’s favourite IRs of his personally chosen cabinets.
The DB-EAST-PRE features an ultra-transparent FX loop and is capable of handling everything from vintage pedals to high end rack mount units.
The DB-EAST-PRE features a USB type C socket for connecting to the LA·IR APP, but it also supports audio in/out POST IR, so you can use it directly into your favourite DAW, making it super convenient for recording silently.
