<\/p>\nWe popped by the home and studio of multi-platinum selling producer, songwriter and artist Fred Cox at his London studio to see what he is doing and what he is using!<\/p>\n
A bright open space drastically differs to Fred\u2019s old studio, which had its own unique vibe, but was in stark contrast to what we find in east London\u2019s trendy Shoreditch. Bright white walls, big windows allowing light to venture inside and of course, a plethora of instruments and equipment to help assist Fred when capturing and creating his work and talent.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The world of music I\u2019m creating has live instruments in the forefront, manipulating them to create emotional textures, fitting somewhere inside the FUTURE-SOUL space.<\/p>\n
\n
Recording guitar and bass is an essential part of my music production. Having gorgeous clean tones ready to go on my L5 is now such an important writing tool! The addition of the Digbeth bass pedal has already become the way I will record bass.<\/p>\n
\n
I\u2019m currently working on the production and writing of Paloma Faith\u2019s 6th studio album, and we are going pretty hard and rocky at times, so being able to quickly dial in tones really helps me keep the pace in writing sessions.<\/p>\n

The L5 guitar head has been on everything I\u2019ve done the last couple of years. I\u2019ve been closely working with \u201cPip Millett\u201d, a new signing to \u201cDream Life\/ Sony\u201d. I have 5 songs coming out on her first album on October 21st that I\u2019ve produced, every guitar is with my L5 head!<\/p>\n
\n
I\u2019ve been fortunate to have been working with a bunch of cool artists this last year, including chart toppers Tom Grennan and Sam Ryder, the latter of which is dropping his first album too in November with one of songs on it too.<\/p>\n
\n
A really guitar focused song I\u2019ve had out this year is with London artist James Vickery. His single \u201cthe reason\u201d starts off with a guitar solo I played, and you know it\u2019s through the Laney rig!! This song has \u201cThe Secret Path\u201d reverb on too, so it really sings!!<\/p>\n
