I also tapped Simon for some of his favourite settings and tone tips.<\/p>\n<h4>1. An Awesome Ryhthm Boost<\/h4>\n<p>Simon\u2019s secret setting #1 &#8211; how to get a nice kick-in for rhythm guitar, without too much distortion.<\/p>\n<p>Channel 1<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Set VOL all way up on Channel 1<\/li>\n<li>Set GAIN on 1 or 1\/2 for compression.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Channel 2<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Then on Channel 2 set the VOL to be comparable.<\/li>\n<li>Set GAIN at 2 o\u2019clock<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You get a super-cool kick-in for rhythm guitar \u2013 ideal for classic rock players.<\/p>\n<p>Then just set your <strong>BOOST at 6,7or 8<\/strong> and get a fuller, fatter lead tone on either channel. The Boost works on both settings so you can keep the boost on so you don\u2019t lose the dynamic of the song after the 2nd chorus.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cWith this setting, the pedal cleans up really well. The Loudpedal responds well to the pickup or volume of your guitar. Subtle Overdrive<\/h4>\n<p>Lee Glynn\u2019s secret setting #1 \u2013 a subtle overdrive.<\/p>\n<p>Yes, the pedal is designed to be used for high-gain settings, but you can dial it back and get a subtle yet noticeable overdrive sound. I found this setting was like using 2 x different amps and got some lovely 90s\/00s alternative sounds from it.<\/p>\n<p>Channel 1<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Set channel 1 VOL at 3<\/li>\n<li>Set GAIN at 2<\/li>\n<li>Set the switch to Rhythm<\/li>\n<li>All EQ at 1 o\u2019clock<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Channel 2<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Set Channel 2 VOL at 3-4<\/li>\n<li>Set GAIN at 2-3<\/li>\n<li>Set Switch to DARK<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>What you get here is a classic rock-sounding overdrive with just enough difference for chorus\/middle eight and verse sections. I found switching between channels resulted in a lush overdrive when I needed it and the BOOST was there for the final chorus sounds. Desert Rock Fuzz<\/h4>\n<p>I found I was able to replicate the sound of the \u201cEra Vulgaris\u201d album by Queens of The Stone Age and Wolfmother-style tones on the pedal.\u00a0 Fuzzy, yet intricate sonic qualities that really bring riffs out. It was incredibly responsive and at no point became muddy. Even when I engaged the boost!
