<\/p>\nThe 100 Club on Oxford Street in London is one of the most iconic music venues on earth. Roots include the bustling 50\u2019s jazz scene, the 60\u2019s beat scene and of course the 70\u2019s punk scene. These famous boards have been host to some iconic performances none more famous than The Sex Pistols on their flash in the pan impact on the world of music, art and fashion.<\/p>\n
That same stage held host to a sold-out gig for The Family Rain, Laney LA30BL and Digbeth players Ollie and Will Walter brought a slice of riff based glam rock n roll back to The 100 Club for a busy night in old London town.<\/p>\n
Supported by Laney artists The Howlers, this was a night of riffs, swag, style, and sustenance. The appeal of this iconic venue is its intimate setting, one where the gig goer can stand without a barrier right up at the stage. This is a venue that throws back to a time where underground hot and sweaty clubs were the backbone of the music industry.<\/p>\n

This is the first tour The Family Rain have done since the Covid-19 pandemic, but it is like they have never been away from the live stage. A rip roaring set full of sing along, head banging, riff based songs to keep the thirsty audience happy and crying for more.<\/p>\n
A solid set finished up with the mighty \u2018Memorabilia\u2019 which got everyone bouncing, moving and shaking. The Family rain are set to release new music this year, including the new single \u2018Gasoline\u2019<\/p>\n
Described unapologetically by the band as a \u201cself-glorifying party anthem and rock and roll hype track\u201d, \u2018Gasoline\u2019 was produced by fellow Laney artist Tom Dalgety (Pixies, Ghost, Royal Blood), who the band describe as their \u2018fourth member\u2019. The single also arrives with an accompanying video, filmed in the band\u2019s hometown of Bath and featuring band member Will Walter as the devil (more of this to come!) setting the town alight with dance moves, aerosol and \u2026.. Gasoline.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Speaking about the single, The Family Rain say:<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s a sonic pick-me-up. Something that our favourite bands (AC\/DC, The Rolling Stones) nailed, and what current guitar music shies away from. We wanted to go all the way with this track and make the listener feel like Scarface on steroids.
