"Whatever I plug into my Lionhearts just sounds amazing. Great tones, great amps!"
22-year-old Tom has been writing songs since he was 13. However, the modest up-and-coming artist didn’t tell anyone because he thought it was “uncool”. Fast forward nine years and Tom Odell’s music is far from uncool. In fact, after becoming the first ever male artist to win the coveted BRITS Critics’ Choice Award in 2013, he’s become the epitome of cool. In 2012, Lily Cooper (aka Lily Allen) took Tom under her experienced wing and signed him up to her record label, In The Name Of. Since then his rise to fame has been fast but steady. It was his acclaimed performance on Later… With Jools Holland in November 2012 that brought him right into the public eye. His debut EP, Songs From Another Love, which received rave reviews, was also released at that time. Armed with a BRIT Award, Tom is now becoming one of the most in-demand live acts in the country. With his first big headline tour in the spring of 2013 being a sell-out, the singer is embarking on a second tour in the autumn. Tom released his first proper album, Long Way Down, in April 2013, it went to number one in the UK. Tom and the band were also picked by The Rolling Stones to support them at their Hyde Park shows in the summer. Max is using Laney Lionheart L20H Heads and LT212 Cabinets live and on record with Tom and with his band Heavy Highness, you can connect with them on Facebook here. He says ““I’m pleased to be working with the Lionheart range, it gives me a true and pure valve tone that is super consistent show after show”
