We are extremely proud to welcome Baiju Dharmajan to the Laney Family of Artists. Baiju started his professional guitar playing career in 1980 at Kollam district. Baiju Dharmajan first came into the public domain and proved his prominence through various famous live eastern music troupes throughout the state of Kerala.

Baiju’s first serious association with rock music bands happened after he shifted his base to his home town in Cochin. Starting off with bands like Instincts, B Positive, Wrenz and Aatma, Baiju soared into the limelight like never before as the spine and the centre of attraction of Motherjane- the biggest live act in the country today.

‘Insane Biography’ and ‘Maktub’ composed by Baiju Dharmajan is considered as the two most matured and musically inspiring records to have born in the Indian rock music Industry.

During his stint in Motherjane he became the creator of carnatic progressive technical shredding in guitar playing. Baiju Dharmajan proved that blending the ragas of traditional south Indian classical music with the vigour and groove of pure rock compositions is indeed possible.
